Ecclesiastical province

An ecclesiastical province is a fundamental form of jurisdiction in Christian churches. It includes churches of Western and Eastern Christianity with traditional hierarchical structures. An ecclesiastical province consists of several dioceses (or eparchies), one of which is the archdiocese (or archeparchy). A metropolitan bishop or archbishop heads it and has ecclesiastical jurisdiction over all other bishops of the province.

The Metropolitan Archbishop Eric Michel is the overseer of the provinces of Canada, Cameroon and Peru.
